These are the rules for using YourServiceCentre.com. By booking a service through us, you agree to them. They cover both customers and partner garages.

Who can book

• You must be 18 years or over
• You must be a UK resident
• You must own the vehicle, or have permission from the owner to authorise work on it
• The vehicle must be a Class 4 vehicle (cars and light commercial vehicles up to 3,000kg)
• The vehicle must be roadworthy enough to drive to the garage (or we'll arrange recovery at an additional cost)

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential
• You must not share your account with anyone else
• You must let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
• One account per person; one vehicle can only be on one active account at a time
• You can have multiple vehicles on a single account
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms

4. Booking a service

How bookings work

1. You enter your vehicle registration on our website
2. We retrieve your vehicle's details from the DVLA and DVSA
3. We show you a fixed price for available service options
4. You choose a service, add any extras (MOT, additional repairs), and select a date
5. You pay via Stripe (one-off) or set up a Care Plan subscription
6. We assign your booking to the most suitable Partner Garage
7. The Garage collects your vehicle, performs the work, and returns it

Booking confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once:

• You've completed the booking flow and received an email confirmation
• Your payment has been authorised (or Care Plan set up)
• A Partner Garage has accepted the assignment

Accuracy of information

You're responsible for providing accurate information about:

• Your contact details
• The collection address and any access instructions
• Known issues with the vehicle
• Any modifications to the standard manufacturer specification

If information is wrong and this causes additional work, time, or costs, we may charge a reasonable additional fee.

5. Pricing, payment and care plans

Fixed-price guarantee

The price shown at booking is the price you pay - provided the work is as described. We don't add hidden fees, shop supplies charges, or environmental disposal fees. VAT is included.

Additional work

If the Garage finds something additional during service that wasn't included in the original booking:

1. They will send you photos and a fixed-price quote via SMS and email
2. You decide whether to approve the additional work
3. Nothing will be done without your explicit approval
4. The additional cost will be billed to your card or added to your invoice

Payment

• Payment is processed by Stripe and we accept all major UK debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay
• For one-off services, payment is taken on completion (not upfront)
• Card details are securely tokenised at booking to authorise payment on completion
• For Care Plans, the first monthly payment is taken on your first service date; subsequent payments are taken on the same calendar day each month

Care Plan terms

• Care Plans are minimum 24 or 36 month commitments
• You can pause a Care Plan for up to 90 days per 12 months at no charge (e.g. for travel or if the vehicle is off-road)
• If you cancel within the first 14 days of signing up, you'll receive a full refund (statutory cooling-off period)
• After 14 days, you can cancel but you'll need to pay any outstanding balance for services already received within the plan
• If you sell your vehicle, you can transfer the Care Plan to a different vehicle (subject to a price adjustment) or cancel

VAT

All prices include VAT at the prevailing UK rate. We are a VAT-registered business.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel any service or Care Plan signed up to online.

Note: if you ask for the service to start within the 14-day period (e.g. you book for a date in the next 5 days) and we begin work, you'll be charged for any work already completed.

Cancellation notice

Notice given	Charge
More than 48 hours before service	No charge - full refund
24-48 hours before service	£25 admin fee
Less than 24 hours before service	50% of service cost
On the day (no-show / refused collection)	Full service cost

Our right to cancel

We may cancel or postpone your booking if:

• Severe weather makes safe vehicle collection impossible
• The Garage cannot complete the service for reasons outside our control
• We discover the vehicle is unsafe to work on
• You have not been honest about the vehicle or its condition

In any of these cases, we'll refund you in full and offer to rebook.

7. Collection and delivery

Free collection and delivery

Free collection and delivery is included with every service within our service area (currently Yorkshire). The exact radius from the partner garage will be confirmed at booking.

Your obligations

• Be available (or have an authorised person available) at the agreed collection time
• Provide keys, V5C (logbook) if requested for MOT verification, and any security codes
• Ensure the vehicle has at least 1/4 tank of fuel for diagnostics
• Remove all personal belongings - we are not liable for lost or damaged items left in the vehicle
• Disclose any known mechanical issues

Pre-collection walk-around

Our collection driver will take photos of the vehicle's exterior condition before collection. This protects both you and us in the event of any disputes about pre-existing damage.

If collection is missed

If you're not available at the agreed time and we cannot collect your vehicle, we will attempt one further pickup. After two failed attempts, the booking is cancelled and the appropriate cancellation charge applies (see section 6).

8. Our 12-month guarantee

All work performed through our Platform comes with a 12-month or 12,000-mile parts and labour guarantee (whichever comes first).

The guarantee covers:

• Defects in parts fitted by our partner garages
• Workmanship of the service performed
• Any issue directly caused by the work we did

The guarantee does NOT cover:

• Normal wear and tear (tyres, brake pads worn down by use, etc.)
• Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or modification after service
• Pre-existing issues not addressed at service
• Damage from continued driving after a warning light was ignored

To make a claim under the guarantee, contact us within 14 days of noticing the issue. We will arrange inspection and remedy at no cost to you.

9. Manufacturer warranties

Servicing your vehicle through YourServiceCentre.com does not invalidate your manufacturer warranty, provided:

• The service is performed within manufacturer-specified intervals
• OE-quality parts are used (which they always are with us)
• Manufacturer service schedules are followed

This is your right under the UK Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation. We follow these standards strictly.

10. Our liability

What we're liable for

We accept full liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of our partner garages
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law
• Direct damage to your vehicle caused by negligent work

What we're not liable for

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Loss of earnings or income while the vehicle is being serviced
• Loss of use beyond the agreed service window
• Damage to or loss of items left in the vehicle
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Pre-existing damage or mechanical issues
• Issues caused by parts we didn't supply or work we didn't perform

Our financial cap

Our total liability to you for any single booking is capped at the greater of (a) the price you paid for the service, or (b) £10,000, except for liabilities that cannot be limited under UK law.

11. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use our Platform for any illegal purpose
• Misrepresent your identity or vehicle ownership
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer our systems
• Use bots or automated tools to access our service without permission
• Abuse, threaten, or harass our staff, drivers, or garage partners
• Post false or defamatory reviews
• Resell or commercially exploit our services without our written agreement

We reserve the right to suspend or close any account that breaches these rules.

12. Terms for partner garages

If you're a Partner Garage on our Platform, additional terms apply to you. The key points are:

• You commit to our fixed-price model with no upsells
• You use OE-quality parts only
• You honour our 12-month guarantee on all work
• You complete jobs within the agreed timeframe
• You maintain manufacturer-standard qualifications and equipment
• You maintain valid public liability and motor trade insurance
• You comply with all data protection obligations under our Data Processing Agreement
• We charge a transparent platform fee on each completed job (currently 13% of gross revenue)
• You're paid weekly by bank transfer, the Friday after work is completed
• Either party can terminate the partnership with 30 days' notice
• We may suspend a garage immediately for serious customer complaints, fraud, or breach of these Terms

Full Partner Garage Terms are provided separately at onboarding and form part of these Terms by reference.

All content on YourServiceCentre.com (logos, design, code, text, photos) is owned by Validus Media Ltd or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish it without written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you upload (photos, reviews, messages), but grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it for delivering our service and improving the Platform.

14. Data protection

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using our service, you acknowledge you've read it.

15. Disputes and governing law

Try to resolve first

If you have a complaint, please contact us at info@yourservicecentre.com and we'll do our best to resolve it within 7 days.

Mediation and arbitration

If we can't resolve it, you can refer the matter to The Motor Ombudsman (themotorombudsman.org), an independent body that helps resolve disputes in the automotive industry. This service is free to consumers.

Court

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that go to court must be heard in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when. If we make material changes, we'll email registered customers and Care Plan subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect, giving you time to review and cancel if you don't agree.
